Hi, I am Dan Thompson, the Founder of Payroll Professionals. I graduated in 1984 from Moorhead State with a degree in accounting and finance. I have been in the payroll aspect of that education since 1987. I love what we do and proud of the team we have built! Now retired, you will find me on the golf course, fishing or spending as much time as I can get with my grandson!

When looking for a payroll partner, system security should be a top priority. We take the security of your data very seriously and put in numerous measures on the front and back end to ensure we catch potential risks before they become a problem.
Your information is protected by protocols and commercial-grade sonic firewall systems that are monitored 24/7 to detect any virus or malware activity.
Your information is held on our server system that is physically protected in a secure location with UPS backup. This location requires key code entry and is monitored by video both externally and internally. Backup domain controllers are used for disaster recovery both onsite and in another undisclosed offsite location.
We use an external email scanner for all communication with our clients. Server event logs are monitored daily, monthly and quarterly by both internal resources and an outsourced team of network administration. All data is mirrored and encrypted offsite every thirty minutes which can be accessed immediately for any sort of disaster recovery.
We also test our processes and systems with an independent third party by conducting a SOC Audit and extensive penetration testing.
Our cloud-based system includes a two-factor security feature for logging in and a secure, verified, and automated registration/ forgot username/password system.
